I wonder if the Things in The Dark can tell that Bestest here is already in a cycle of never ending torment and that they only get to be a part of making THIS life of his as horrible as possible. Would explain why Smarty, Mummah, and the dumb babbehs all were culled faster. This guy is the main course of suffering!
